The Original Lotion P50 1970

Please note that due to regulatory changes, Lotion P50 1970 and Lotion P50V 1970 has been discontinued in the U.S. as of January 2025. Once we are sold out, we will not be re-stocking this product. Alternative formulations without phenol, such as Lotion P50, Lotion P50W, and Lotion P50 PIGM 400, are available and offer similar benefits.

WHICH LOTION P50 TONER IS RIGHT FOR YOU? 

• Lotion P50 1970 is the most potent and popular formula for strengthening the skin barrier, alleviating problemative skin and achieving the iconic "BR glow."  This original formulation containing phenol has been discontinued but there are a few available bottles left. 
• Lotion P50V 1970 is similar to Lotion P50 1970 but ideal for more mature and thin skin as it has added vitamins. This original formulation containing phenol has been discontinued but there are a few available bottles left. 
• Lotion P50 is best for combination, oily and thicker skin that is more tolerant to stronger exfoliants
• Lotion P50W is ideal for sensitive skin and first-time Lotion P50 users who want to strengthen their skin barrier while gently exfoliating. 
• Lotion P50 PIGM 400 is gentle enough for sensitive skin and a wonderful option for those with pigmentation who want some brightening. Lotion P50 PIGM 400 is also ideal if you want to gift Lotion P50 to a first-time user as it is a fan favorite
• Lotion P50V is enriched with vitamins and perfect for more mature or thin skin

HOW TO APPLY 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Begin by cleansing your skin with a suitable cleanser, such as one of Biologique Recherche's cleansing milks.

Next, apply Biologique Recherche P50 Original '1970' to a cotton pad. Start at the décolleté and move upward to the neck and face, using a gentle patting motion. Allow it to absorb fully before applying your next product, avoiding the eye area.

You may experience a tingling sensation—this is normal and a sign that P50 is working. Its active ingredients penetrate deeper than most products. Slight redness is also normal.

WHAT'S INSIDE:

• Exfoliating and Moisturizing Agents: A blend of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), poly-hydroxy acids (PHAs), and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), including lactic acid and salicylic acid, work together to exfoliate and hydrate the skin.
• Purifying and Sebum-Regulating Agents: Ingredients such as magnesium chloride, niacinamide (vitamin B3), and extracts of horseradish, burdock, sorrel, onion, myrrh, and myrtle help purify the skin and regulate oil production.
• Phenol: Included in the original 1970 formula for its antiseptic properties.
